Viña Solarce Blanco expresses the fresh and luminous character of the Casa La Rad vineyards Casa La Rad the Ocón Valley. Made from a selection of white varieties grown at altitude, this wine combines aromatic precision, texture, and freshness, offering an elegant and contemporary interpretation of the Eastern Rioja landscape.

Grape varieties:

Viura (47%), White Tempranillo (34%), Chardonnay (19%)

Aging: The Chardonnay component is aged for six months in 500-liter French oak barrels, while the Viura and Tempranillo Blanco remain in stainless steel tanks. All batches are kept on their lees to provide greater texture and complexity.

Altitude: Between 530 and 650 meters | 1,750 - 2,100 feet

Average age of vines: 30 years

Origin:

Vineyard profile: The grapes come from different plots on the Casa La Rad estate, located in the Ocón Valley, in Rioja Oriental. Grown at an altitude of between 530 and 650 meters and surrounded by natural vegetation, these vines benefit from a diverse environment that promotes slow ripening and excellent aromatic expression.

The soils, composed of alluvial clays and limestone, with rockier areas at higher elevations, contribute freshness, balance, and complexity to the wine.

Vinification and aging:

Vinification: After direct pressing of the grapes, the must is clarified by flotation and fermented for approximately nine days with selected yeasts at low temperature to preserve aromatic purity.

Tasting notes:

Bright in appearance with greenish-yellow highlights, the wine displays an elegant bouquet with notes of white flowers, stone fruit, and delicate mineral nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and precision, with good structure, excellent fruit definition, and balanced acidity that provides length and liveliness.
