Scale as a privilege.
Casa La Rad one of the largest wine estates in Rioja.
But here, scale does not impose volume.
The extraordinary diversity of altitudes, orientations, and soils allows for something much rarer: choice.
Only part of the land is used for vineyards. And an even smaller fraction is bottled under our name.
Select plots. Adjust decisions. Craft each wine with precision, not necessity.
On a farm like this, greatness does not lie in how much is produced, but in the freedom to refine every choice.
The Rioja region of TuscanyValle de Ocón, Casa La Rad in a landscape of gentle hills, open horizons, and changing light. A seemingly serene landscape, but one full of nuances: rolling hills, scattered forests, vineyards emerging between fields and scrubland.
Here, beauty is neither an artifice nor an aesthetic construct. It is the natural expression of a vast, untouched, and silent environment.
A place where viticulture coexists with nature on its largest scale.
A wine-growing paradiseThe vineyards cover 112 hectares of Casa La Rad land Casa La Rad 14% of the total area—and have a 150-meter difference in elevation between the lowest and highest points.
At the highest point of these plots, 675 meters above sea level, lies the venerable "Casa de La Rad" block, home to 23 hectares of Garnacha, Malvasía, and Viura planted in 1974 and 1975. The average age of the vineyard on the estate exceeds thirty years.
EcodiversityThe unique landscape of Casa La Rad, defined by diverse elevations and orientations, gives rise to a remarkable diversity of terroirs.
From the alluvial, clayey, and limestone soils of the Ebro basin to the rockier, iron-rich areas of the estate's mountainous regions.
This complex interaction between soils, altitudes, grape varieties, and natural ecosystems shapes the character of the property.
But the true complexity of Casa La Rad best appreciated where it matters most: in your glass.
